COSTA BRAVA TO PERATALLADA
Big winds all the way. The Mediterranean is its own color of blue and with the big waves it was a great ride along it. Now we are inland amidst castles and medieval towns.
Where am I going next? Let's see....

THE DALI MUSEUM, FIGURES SPAIN
Dali designed this museum in a very old building, he ended up living the last 5 years of his life in the Museum. I really think our museum in St. Pete,FL has better paintings. This place is filled with a lot of his painting plus lots of jewelry which I didn’t realize he designed and lots of odd things. It was lots of fun to see.
The outside is strange, no surprise.
As you walk in there is is an old car with a strange hood ornament and it is raining in the car, yes raining.
There is an entire room that looks like Mae West from a ladder through a convex lens. Very weird.
I’m always surprised when my friends have no interest in seeing other parts of the world. It’s such an eye opener especially when I here opinions on how other people live. The most common first reaction on seeing some of these countries is how poor they are and they are by our standards. Most want […]
After flying for two days and 4 hours sleep we arrived in Vientiane, the capitol of Laos, pop. about 850,000. I immediately went to the ATM and got 1,000,000 lao-kips, I was a millionaire at last only to find out I had about $125. I really like the idea of 1,000,000 much better. This is […]
I love to climb. Hills, steps, anything that goes up so on my day off in Edinburgh it seemed natural I should aim for this amazing castle on a high hill in the very center of the city. So off I went, it actually turned out to be not much of a climb but worth […]
This is supposed to be a Brewery trip but the streets smell like chocolate, there’s chocolate stores on every street, it is amazing. And then there are the mussels. So large a portion of mussels cooked in white wine that I almost couldn’t eat them all. Belgium is famous for beer, chocolate and mussels, so […]
We knew Mongolians slept in gers and we kinda knew what they were, sort of how you’d know what it’s like to live in a tree house even though you’ve never done it. We were sure that we’d see the real Mongolian gers with Mongolians living in them but we would have some kind of […]
Some people might say “be careful what you wish for”. I wished for 30′ waves and got them and was thrilled. The Drake Passage is notorious for huge waves and rough weather and where else would I ever get to see them. The first night out at 4AM (daylight outside) we started to roll and […]
